Smuttynose Will Run For Beer 5K Event Details
Live Event FAQs
When is packet pickup/registration?
Packet pickup will be held on Saturday, June 17th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and on race day, Sunday, June 17th from 7:30am to 9:15am. We suggest arriving no later than 8:50am to ensure you have time to park, pick up your bib, and get to the starting line before the race starts at 9:30am.
When do I line up for the start?
Please plan to line up in the start corral at 9:15a.m.. The race starts at 9:30 a.m..
Can I walk the 5k?
Yes! We simply ask that you obey the rules of the course and walk no more than two people abreast so that others may pass easily. Walkers will start at the same time as runners but must start at the back of the pack.
Can I run with headphones?
Because wearing headphones greatly reduces your ability to hear race marshals and car traffic, we strongly discourage their use on the course.
Are dogs allowed at the event?
No. We love dogs but, they are not allowed at the event.
Can I run with my baby stroller?
Yes! We simply ask that you start at the back of the pack for safety reasons.
Where can I check if I'm registered?
You can check the Enmotive site.
Are the roads closed during the event?
The course will not be closed to vehicle traffic but there will be runner lanes with cones, signs, Hampton Police, and race marshals directing traffic.
Can I get a refund if I register but don't run?
All sales are final. No refunds will be given for reasons outside of the organizer’s control.
We also know that life can throw a curveball, because of that, it is highly recommended to sign up for the EnMotive Registration Protection Plan during the registration process.
Where is the best place for spectators to watch?
The course is not particularly spectator-friendly as it is one big loop. The course isn’t closed to car traffic but we strongly discourage any cars on the course for the safety of our runners. If you do drive out to watch the race, you’ll most likely be stuck in runner traffic and not get back in time to see the finish, so we recommend staying in the festival area to see both the start and the finish. Friends and family can go to the after party, BUT they cannot have the beer/food unless they have a food/beer ticket purchased by a registered runner.
